Vintage 2015: A Year in American Wine

We're participating in a national project to document the ins and outs, ups and downs of the 2015 grape growing and harvest season.

Vintage 2015 is a kickstarter project founded by Wil Fernandez to bring together farmers, winemakers and creative people from across the United States to create a permanent archive of American winemaking in 2015. (See his Vintage 2014 project for Santa Barbara to get an idea of what's to come.)

With more than a million acres of vineyards across all 50 states, it might seem impossible to track the drama as Mother Nature punishes some areas with drought, hail or frost—while rewarding others with the ideal conditions for cultivating grapes, but the project's interactive web destination will do just that by collecting stories from vineyards and wineries across the nation through words, photographs and videos. Keep up to date with the latest news by following Dirt Don't Lie on instagram and twitter.

Here in Arizona, Edible Phoenix is working with Northern Arizona photographer Brenna Zumbro to document Verde Valley's Page Springs Cellars from March's pruning and bud break, to the fall harvest.
